In the year of 2000, I had to have open heart surgery, that is when I slowed down for a while. About that same time a bichon-frise took BIS, his name was "Ch. Special Times Just Right', JR, and watching that little spunky ball of white fluff my heart was completely won over to a new breed. I had to have one, then another and another. You can't just have one, like potato chips. I now have several bichons, they are wonderful dogs, great for allergy sufferers, completely hypo-allergenic, have no doggie odor, they are cheerful, happy little dogs that fit into every family, love children as long as they are taught to be gentle with the dog, and they adore elderly people. They love to sit or lie in your lap, love to be groomed, are very affectionate and have a sixth sense as to your mood and how to fix it if it needs fixing! Collies will always be my first love, but my bichons have a very special place in my heart, and I don't ever want to be without either!
